Sequitur Architecture

Sequitur architecture is composed of fix and mobile devices.

Anchors

The Anchor is the access point of the Sequitur RTLS. It is fixed in the environment.

No limits on the number of Anchors apply. If another environment has to be added to the network, it is sufficient to place Anchors there, and the system automatically self-adapts to the new devices. The same Anchors can be used for every Sequitur architecture (InGPS, InTracking and coexistence mode).

Tags

The Tag is a mobile device computing its position thanks to the presence of Anchors in the environment. It works like a GNSS receiver. Tags are used with the Sequitur InGPS product.

No limits on the number of Tags apply. They can coexist in the environment computing their positions at 20 Hz update rate.

Localization engine:

  • 20 Hz update rate, regardless of the number of tags
  • Position available locally at tag side for navigation

Mini-Tags

The Mini-Tag is a mobile node whose position is computed by an external Central Unit connected to the Anchors. It has a small battery embedded and no external power supply is required. It is very small and low-weight. Mini-Tags are used with the Sequitur InTracking product.

The duration of the battery depends on the number of localization updates per second (days to years). The embedded accelerometer can be used to track the Mini-Tag position only during movements, in order to improve the battery lifetime.
